CRUFTS

This event is held every
year over a four day period in March, where
we attend our sponsors stand to demonstrate the teams capabilities in
search & rescue procedures.
Our comp ear and
interviewer for the presentations is normally Nick Piercey from Heart FM radio in
Birmingham. The presentation covered a number of areas, firstly what the
team is all about and how we work and deploy. The
team also demonstrate some of our rescue equipment which is used by the team to locate
individuals. Our main aim is to present the role of
the canine dog teams within UK Fire Service USAR role, and how they are trained in locating
trapped / missing persons. The presentation tooks approximately 45 minutes,
which
includes practical demonstrations and multi - media video footage of the dogs
and teams in action.
