JON LACEY & TILLY

I joined the fire service in 1993 and have progressed my career to my present position of watch manager, on the Technical rescue unit within West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, as part of that team I have also taken the role of Urban Search and Rescue dog handler.

It has taken a tremendous amount of hard work to become qualified for USAR operations but an enjoyable experience.

Tilly is a liver and white Springer Spaniel Bitch, who has been successfully procured from a breeder in Bromley, Kent.  She is a very affectionate dog, who never gives up looking for her toy, and there is no end to her energy. 

She has settled in well to Fire Service and family life. And has already attended several incidents within the UK including a building collapse in London and several missing persons searches in Sussex and Hampshire.
