CANINE ACCOMMODATION AT FIRE SERVICE COLLEGE

A new kennel complex has been built at the Fire Service College at Morton in Marsh to accommodate Fire Service USAR dog teams.  This is part of the investment that has been spent on USAR facilities at the college.

The kennels will be used to accommodate canine teams whilst supporting the college on USAR training courses, and for specific canine training and grading sessions which will be held at the FSC facilities.

The complex comprises of a 6ft high security fence and 2 double gates which contains 12 individual heated and lighted kennels, 6 on each side of the compound.  6 tethering points and a kitchen area and storage room are also contained in the complex.

Control of these kennels will be via the Fire Service College USAR dog coordinator liaison officer based at the college.
