MICK DEWAR & ECHO

I have been in the Fire Service for the past 14 years and a member of UKFSSART since 1993. I have attended many training courses such as swift
water responder and coxswains courses, and in March of this year attended the
structural collapse course in Texas USA. I have been deployed to India in
Jan 2001 where the Manchester team undertook the first ever rescue by UKFSSART,
which consisted in locating and releasing a mother and her 8 year old son.
My dog is called ECHO and he is 7 months old at present 02/05/04. I am new
to this type of work, but find it very interesting and I am keen to advance
in this field of specialist work.
Echo's training is progressing
Echo and myself are
performed very well. The picture here is showing Echo locating a casualty in
a section of piping. The second Photo shows me and my search partner
"Echo".
ECHO is also sponsored locally by a Manchester veterinary
practice called PET MEDICS.
