MILTON KEYNES SCAFFOLD COLLAPSE

Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service attended an incident where14 stories of scaffold collapsed at a building site where a hotel is under construction.

No fatalities had been confirmed at the incident in Milton Keynes, which is situated 50 miles (80 kilometres) northwest of London.

Three workers had been rescued from the scene by fire fighters attending the incident immediately after the collapse and were taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital.

Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service USAR Team then searched the wreckage with canine USAR dogs and other specialist equipment (further details of this equipment can be found at UKUSAR web site.)  After extensive searches of this area, the team believed that all workers on the site had been accounted for.
