NEIL WOODMANSEY & HOLLY

I  joined Buckinghamshire fire service in 1985 transferring to Lincoln in 1996.   I am now serving as a temporary Assistant Divisional officer in Lincolnshire.

Holly is now 18 months old and passed her grading session in April so is now a fully qualified USAR dog and a novice UKFSSART dog.  Only one month after grading myself and Holly were called out to our first operational mission, the explosion at the Glasgow factory.  Holly, along with other search and rescue dogs from various groups worked hard in the efforts to save trapped casualties.

Holly also plays a role in the Brigades Community Fire Safety program, visiting schools and other organisations to assist in imparting pro-active fire safety advice and information on the role of a search and rescue dog. Holly is now in training to be assessed for international deployment and is attacking her training with vigour and enthusiasm.

Neil and Holly have now successfully graded for international deployments.

Hollie wins Service Dog award for her part in the Pakistan Earthquake.
